FAQ
About Priligy
What is Priligy?
Priligy contains dapoxetine, a short-acting prescription medicine developed specifically for premature ejaculation (PE). It is not the same as Viagra or Cialis, which treat erectile dysfunction.
How does it work?
Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) with a short half-life. It is taken on demand rather than daily, and helps delay ejaculation for a window of several hours.
Is it a cure?
No. It is a treatment used when needed. It does not “cure” premature ejaculation, and its effect stops after the dose wears off.
Timing and dosage
How long before sex should I take it?
1–3 hours before. Most men notice an effect within 30–60 minutes.
What strength should I start with?
30mg is the usual starting strength. 60mg is considered only if 30mg was well tolerated but not effective enough, and with medical agreement.
Can I take more than one tablet?
No. Maximum one dose in 24 hours. Taking a second tablet does not improve the effect and increases side effects.
Can I take it every day?
No — it is designed for on-demand use, not continuous daily dosing.
Safety
Who should not take Priligy?
Men taking nitrates, MAOIs, thioridazine or other serotonergic medicines; men with uncontrolled hypertension, liver impairment, a history of mania or fainting; and anyone under 18.
What are the common side effects?
Nausea, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, sweating and insomnia are the most reported. They are usually mild and short-lived.
Can I drink alcohol?
Best avoided. Alcohol increases the risk of dizziness, fainting and lowered blood pressure.
Is Priligy safe with Viagra?
Do not combine them without medical advice. Both affect blood pressure and the combination has not been established as safe.
Ordering in Singapore
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Priligy is a prescription medicine in Singapore and should only be used after a doctor confirms it is suitable for you.
How is it delivered?
Local delivery in 1–3 business days, in plain unbranded packaging with no product names on the outside.
Can I return it?
Opened or used medicine cannot be returned. Damaged or incomplete parcels are replaced or refunded — see Shipping & Returns.
